my first EGG from one of my 6 RIR's

My daughter just went outside watched the chicken lay the egg then brought it in and ate it...talk about fresh! My kids LOVED the eggs and said they could tell that they tasted better

We had 3 today a new high!!

We are anxiously waiting our first egg too!! They have been in the nest boxes messing around, but nothing yet. We put a couple of fake eggs in 2 of the boxes to see if they would get the hint,
but no takers so far

.. They are all around 21 weeks - so it should be soon.......

We are hoping for 7 a day! I know 5 are the same age and our def. hens but then I have 2 that look the same size but I am not sure of their age
