My first Hatch-a-long!!!!! (And first hatch!)

I candled today!!! 19 out of 24 are for sure fertile, and one is a possible double yolker, but I didn’t throw any out because I feel it’s too early to know for sure. It was so cool to see! I’m debating candling on day 6 or day 8, but we’ll see. I’m so excited! Here’s a picture of one of the eggs! View attachment 2847181

Those are some pretty good odds! Especially this early! I hope your hatch rate is just as high!!!

My own silkie eggs are looking great too! All 4 are fertile and growing well!

They seem to be good! The temp and humidity is good, and they are still turning every hr. I may candle today so I can toss out any bad eggs that aren’t growing, so they don’t explode.

Okay… I know I’m supposed to wait but, I really want to check my eggs again today, so if any are infertile they don’t explode, because that’s the last thing I want to happen. I’m going to post pictures this time.

I candled today!!!! They all look sooooo cool! I took pictures of 3 viable eggs and the 2 eggs that I removed because they hadn’t developed at all. 3 are iffy, but I’m waiting till Thursday to make the call on them. Hope you enjoy looking at the pictures!

I’m so happy I have at least 19 developing eggs, that could potentially hatch! I am going to candle again on day 8 to make sure the iffy ones are good or if I need to remove them. I would love any advice if you have any!
