Helpful hint for LG's -- throw a large bath towel over the whole thing to help the temperature stay more stable. Throw away the plastic vent plugs and use masking tape to cover/partially cover the vent holes instead, in order to more finely control the humidity. Have fun!

Last night I went over to get a couple of cuckoo maran chicks from ChickyTocks, and she slipped me a Maran egg for my bator too! It's gonna be 2 days behind the others - AT MOST, probably less than that.
My Queenie lays nice dark brown eggs, but this one is the darkest I've seen! Sure hope it hatches out a pretty pullet!!!

ITS WORKING I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!

When I turned the eggs tonight (what is this, day 3?) I held a few of the white eggs up to my LED flashlight and I can already see some veining!!!!!!!!!!

I mean, I know incubators work, but I just can't believe it's actually happening right before my eyes!!!!!!
