I am amazed, shocked and even gobsmaked!

I know some of you chicken veterans would say that was just a small show but I have to say I am glad my initiation into the world of chicken show was no larger than the Inverness show. I was running around like a, well you know. I could not take in all the varieties and it did not help that I was shopping for two chickens to take home. It was almost impossible to make a decision. The only way I finally did was due to the limited availability of the dozen or so breeds I would have liked to bring back.

It was a big help to have BYCÂ’ers to take me under their wings. What a valuable resource backyardchickens is!

Here are a few images to whet your appetite I am so exhausted you will just have to wait till I take the time to write about this in my blog to get a more complete report!

A little old lady (Old English) and a Columbian rock. Real reasonable at $10.00 each.

I had a great time and it was so nice to meet everyone. There were some beautiful birds there. I bought a blue cochin bantam roo to go with my Frizzle girls he is just a sweetheart. I think he was a steal at $15 I'll try to get a picture of him tomorrow.

I think shows that size are the best, they seem less hectic and people are more apt to be sociable and share their knowledge over a cup of coffee.
    thanks for sharing your pics.

Those are awesome pix! Such pretty birdies [IMG]
I know this seems stupid but I am most impressed with the cleanliness of the place they are in, and the shiney cages.
I went to the county fair here and cages were all rusted and it looked like you needed a tetnus shot just to touch them.
