My First time!!!!! ***HELP***

you are not dumb, I didn't know either till I bought one. You will have a wire coming from the accurite with a sensor on the end of it. Put the sensor inside the water wiggler. I will try to find a pic of it right now. You may not find the exact accurite but this will give you an idea, find one that shows temp and humidity and has a wire with a sensor on the end and it should work. Go get it and when you get back you come back here and I will find the set up pic for you.

Don't panic. You didn't ruin the hatch. It would have been better to let the incubator sit overnight and the eggs to be your room temperature. But don't worry. I have had a lot of trouble with my incubators keeping temps, and my temp gauges. Whenever you need to adjust the temp., make sure you do it inch by inch. Another words, verryyy slowly until you get a pretty steady temp of between 100-102. If you can't get it exactly between there, 99.5 is better than 105, just that your hatch might be a day late (might, you never know). Never be afraid to ask us any question, we are glad to help and no question is a stupid question. Good luck on your hatch, we'll be waiting for some pics in 21 days or so

ok, ran to the store and bought a Accurite! I had a huge problem on trying to find a water wiggler though!! I went to three different stores and only came across ONE that had a tiny pinpoint leak. I figure it should be ok for tonight right? So I can atleast get a reading in a couple of hours? Then, in the morning I guess I shall continue my search! Hope things will go well with my temps now! Wish me luck!

Ok, exactly how long does it take for a temp to regulate? I need some sleep but am too scared to go until I know these egss will be ok! Right now it showing my Humidity WAY too high! at 74%! How do I get my humidity down????? I have had the water wiggler and Accurite in for about 1 1/2 hours now!

I added only a tiny bit of water, not even a lot, didn't even fill one reservoir half way in the middle. I think it might be high because the humidity in the house is up some too. We got lots of ran the day before! But now, how on earth do I get it down! I have the vents open, but seems to be doing nothing really.
