My Flock Journey

Dogs instinctively sniff new things... Electric wire with at least a 1 joule charger might seriously deter your neighbors dogs. But be prepared as tank will eventually sniff it, but only once. I was ever attentive when my avatar was in the pasture and would scold her when she'd go near the fence, and she'd just look at me like "Dad, all I want to do is give it a sniff." One day I got busy and heard her yelp, the only time I ever heard her yelp when awake, but she never felt the need to sniff or go near it again. BTW, even though I will never be able to afford it, I dream of having one of your countrymen's invention for my chickens. Their designs are kind of like Fort Knox for over night and they've thought of everything including my terrain.

Ill have alook soon babe.
Okay! I’m so sorry you are having a rough start to raising chickens....
If it’ll help you feel better, when I got my first set of chicks (12 babies) in May 2016 I had a HUGE waterer and NO HEATING DEVICE and they were OUTSIDE!! Huge mistake!! I didn’t do enough research so I came outside the next morning to see 6 floating dead baby chicks in the waterer.... I swear I cried for hours that day! I’ve learned and now i know how to actually raise baby chicks!
