Digging under the coop to put down some hardware cloth. Something keeps trying to get into the coop. Its chipping away at the wood. Not sure what to do.

Digging under the coop to put down some hardware cloth. Something keeps trying to get into the coop. Its chipping away at the wood. Not sure what to do.

Do you have a game camera or a camera you can set up to find out what's trying to get in?

Putting hardware cloth underneath may be o.k., but it looks like the
critter is tearing up the wood, so you may want to also add/attach another piece of hardware cloth on the outside of the wood so the critter can't as easily get to the wood.

I will be putting a skirt as well. We have a second coop we are working on building. We have 9 chickens. This one is not big enough. All of them are small so currently, it isn't an issue, but as we know, they grow like weeds.
