I have not been active on backyard chickens due to me being busy, but recently som thing has cone in with my drawings animals that is of concern... to make this situation easier to digest and also to help people who know more on one subject than the other i will divide up the situation by the animal type. I will get photos and more specific details later.

Cats issue: my friends cats seem to be srcthing themselves constantly and the rims of their ears are crusty. To me it looks like a minor case of mange but I will let you firm your own opinion once I have more details and some photos to give you...

Dog issue: My friends dog; on the other hand is constantly itching a spot on his belly and the skin is perfectly smooth.

More information will be posted along with photos. I would like to inform you that these problems do not seem to be affecting the animals much but should be treated in my opinion.

Do I don't have photos as if right now but I di have more info... we removed the collapse from the cats and bathed them (witch was quite a hassel) and they don't seem to be sratching as much.... as foe where on the ears the crusting is, it is mostly on the back of the ear closer to the top...

There are a lot of things that can cause pets to itch.

My first thought was fleas. Flea allergy dermatitis can wreak havoc on a pet's skin and health.

As mentioned before, ear mites can cause itching of the ears.

It would probably be in the pets' best interest to have an exam done by a Veterinarian.

This way, you can find out exactly why the pets are itching, and what to do to get them comfortable again.

Good luck!
