Maybe I don't know my hay prices being new to hay and all but 6.00 a bale doesn't seem that bad to me. I do know there is quite a bit on the floor under the hay wire which if not eaten will get tossed into the stall for bedding.

I bought my geese a bale of orchard grass 2 weeks ago, but they only play with it. Any ideas on how to encourage them toward actually eating it?

I have not seen my chickens eat the hay, but providing them with alfalfa to eat the little dried green leaves out of actually seems to cut the overall cost of feed by just a little bit. By eating the alfalfa their regular grain and pellet feed intake seems to have decreased by about 10% - when I started providing alfalfa for them I noticed that within a week there was a small amount of their regular feed ration leftover at the end of the day.

I agree with Miss Lydia, cutting back a little on their regular feed might encourage them to get used to eating more of their hay.
Her backpack? The trainer had them on hand. This is her third one. She chewed through two brand new ones before she found an older backpack that she couldn't reach with her mouth.aoxa, where did you get Clems harness? We have been looking for one for Luna.
Called Outward HoundCan you see if there is a bran name on it? Our local pet stores dont have anything in like that and buying online without knowing someone who has it is hard to do too.
