My hen has a yellow/black wound on the inside of her wing

today i went to check my hens and i noticed one of them was acting weird so, i picked her up and found a wound around the size of a quarter and smelled like rotten meat. the hen is currently alive. what should i do?

First of all, please post a picture of the wound, so we can better understand what it is.

Some other questions:

Do you have a rooster? This could be a mating injury.
Do you have access to a vet who sees chickens?
What kind of first aid (human or chicken) items do you have access to? Sterile wash, dressings, topical ointments?

Get a picture and we'll go from there.

I have sprayed the wound with sanitiser spray for animal wounds which is the reason it is
blue.

How is she doing? If you have other chickens, are they harrassing her?

Does she eat and drink ok?

Does the wound still smell? If so, it's probably infected. Please let us know. I'll tag people who know more than I do about caring for an infected wound.

she is doing a lot better now that i put on the sanitiser
