My hen has no wing and she is still ALIVE!!

She is doing very well today. She layed another egg !!!!!!

The only thing I have noticed that is different is she smells funny. I can't describe the smell. She looks fine and was pecking my hand today. I know it has rained alot but I don't think that is it.

Do you know what it could be???

just coming in on this thread, it is so wonderful that your girl is pulling through this... my own favorite girl was attacked by a hawk last week and was bleeding from the mouth and I thought I lost her but she pulled through. Amazing how hardy they are! I am so happy for you!

The smell could be a bit concerning, though... what does it smell like? Can you describe it? I ask because infection smells very badly and I hope it's not that. If it is, she needs to be on antibiotics ASAP. But maybe it's just the rain or something else. I'll think good thoughts for you!
