Yes, everyone was right, got seperated during hunting..............when I called the number and a man answered, I said" did you lose a dog?" and he said yes, and we talked for another few seconds, and I said "Are you sure you want him?" Haha, it didn't hit me until after I hung up how that must have sounded!!!

I found this one running in a Lowe's parking lot in a town near us. Ended up keeping him because the town animal control wouldn't take him because I had taken him out of the county (it was a holiday weekend and they were closed, so I took him home) and my county has NO animal control or shelter. His name is now Muttly and he has found his forever home. We get some dumped around here also.

I'm so glad you found the owner. I found a precious (rather she found me) Pug/Jack Russel in Wal Mart parking lot last fall. Our pet list is way full but I felt comfortable bringing her home because she had tags. The phone numbers from her vet were no good. My son fell in love with her before I could get her to the nearest shelter which is 80 miles away. We decided to keep her. Within a short time she began coughing and our vet found that she had advanced heartworms. She didn't even survive the pre-treatment period. She died 2 days before Christmas. My son was heartbroken. I guess my point is that collars and tags aren't a guarantee that it's lost and not abandoned.

Someone dumped this pup a couple of weeks ago.
We found him on our neighbors front porch the day after we got 6 inches of snow.
Now I have one more mouth to feed!
