My Ivy.. Latest Relapse...She's Gone

She did make it and seems to be doing the same as she was yesterday. That is one tough lady, for sure. At least, inside, she isn't fighting to stay warm while her body is fighting infection.

Just take it one day at a time, Ivy. Perhaps this is the rest her body needs to repair itself?

She sounded so happy yesterday on the phone...okay wait that did not sound right...she did not talk to me on the phone...she talked to you when you were on the phone with me.

I am glad she is being such a great house guest and enjoying the warmth, we know she enjoys the love and attention.

How many of us have chickens inside the house for health/injury reasons?

I am about to move Ivy to one of the broody pens with a heat lamp on her. She is happy as a clam inside the house with us. We took her out to the coop and she got up on a roost bar near Tom and kept looking up at him, like "Daddy, don't forget to take me when you leave!"
However, it's too hard taking care of the chicks in the bsmt shower pan so they are going to come back upstairs till they go to the Firetower in a few days. So, Ivy has to vacate the brooder, but she'll be toasty warm with the heat lamp.
