My ladies are bully's!!

I have three hens that are almost a year old and impulsively (as with most impulse buys, probably wasn't the best idea) decided to pick up a few more chicks last time I was at the feed store. I recently tried to put the chicks out into the yard with the hens and all heck broke loose! My Buff Orpington (Miss Opal) was serious about pecking and chasing my littles! How do I integrate these girls without someone getting hurt???

Welcome to BYC! I would wait till the chicks are older, 3-4 months of age. Then in the night put them with the hens in their coop.For right now I'd build a temporary pen/coop for the chicks and keep the hens away. Hope this helps! ; )
