Rachel, it's great that you did your last chemo...now we'll all pray that those counts do exactly what you need them to do. I am happy that they are going to use the same cells from the original donor - and may God forever bless those who donate!!

A month, huh? Gosh, hope the hummingbirds get here soon or I'll have to be showing reruns!! Keep the faith - you and your family are a great support system for each other!

Hi all. Last day of chemo! Now it will be the waiting game of my counts tanking and waiting for recovery, hopefully without too many complications. They are now talking about transfusion me with lymphocytes from my original donor and see how that does. Not as brutal as a full on transplant again. It does mean another month plus long stay up here I guess. Poor Honey is going to be run ragged and I worry about the boys being alone so much. Thankfully folks at home are stepping up and providing them with meals, how sweet.

Was supposed to have a lady come buy birds today but I guess it's too rainy. Did sure like to get rid of some to lighten their load.

Yay for last day of chemo! Try not to think of the time in one big chunk, that makes it seem bigger than it is. ....break it into weeks, or even days, so you can mark them off as each one passes and you see yourself moving ever closer to going home.

Rachel !     Worry about you   I know it's not in your nature, but you have raised those boys right, and they are strong young men.  As I said earlier they will be fine.  Honey will be fine, and YOU will be fine.  Being away from home is gonna suck, but you can do what you have to do.

Is it Friday yet? Today is time sheet day here at the office and OMG I have never seen the likes. .....been working on mine for two hours and still not quite done, there has got to be a better way of doing this (it's not just because I'm new, either, it takes everyone that long! ). I get tracking to justify the funding sources you charge time to, did it for 8 years at the last place like this, but they make it SO complicated here. ...oh well, you want to pay me to spend hours on it I'll do it...more time reporting what I do every day than actually doing it, lol.

OGM, Correct! First time I've raised them there and NO one complains! I think one of mine doesn't even realize that we have chicks in the house!

I like the garage idea! Wish we had one...sort of. It would become another place to declutter and keep junk though.
