Dangerous mudhole! - Let's walk around it. - Could be sponge-quack hiding in the murky water…Yesterday, MK and I decided to take the ducklings outside (in between storms) to one of the mud holes in our driveway. This was the Ducklings First Time Seeing A Mudhole and they weren’t too sure about it. But it was all good in the end.

No sponge-quack here! Let's go in!There They Go! It took a little bit of time, but they finally decided to take the plunge!

You will be surprised how many different words/phrases/sentences your duckies will be able to »understand«! They don't really understand the meaning of the words, but they know what you want them to do when you say certain phrases and make certain gestures. They definitely weren’t sure of their surroundings and I know they don’t know what “Come Here Babies” mean either!
Interesting! Here every squirrel that dares to walk on the ground and steal some sunflower seeds is fair game for the White Layers. Blanca Duck has chased countless »bushy tail mice« up the next tree and sat under the tree waiting for her meal to come back. She is very patient…It sure is amazing how some are scared of EVERYTHING and others will chase the vacuum while you are trying to clean! My Cayugas will chase cats and birds out of the yard but a squirrel.... they won‘t get 5 feet of one of those...![]()
