Baldie, make sure you write down each trip you have had to make to the post office, If there is any monetary restitution, I can almost guarantee that they will ask you how many out of the way trips you have had to take to get this issue resolved and pick up replacement eggs because you cannot trust this woman!

Oh, I also meant to add:

I wanted to find out how long it would take to get up to 20MPH from a stop. So, when I got into my driveway tonight, I stopped and just started pushing the gas.

Not aggressively pushing the gas. Just doing it like I would normally accelerate from a stop to cross an intersection. It took me all of TWO (2) seconds to get up to 20 MPH. I'm not as good at measuring distance, but it looked like maybe 25 or 30 feet. (shrug) I would have to get out with a tape measure to be sure, which I wasn't willing to do. LOL (I would have looked like an idiot!) And I drive a Corolla. I bet an SUV could smoke me.

My boss is gone to a gun show for the weekend and it gets WAY slow when his clients figure out he is going to be gone for a couple of days they stop calling. I swear if I didn't have BYC to read I'd be passed out, snoozing under my desk. ...with dust bunnies drawing on my face with permanent marker...

<what can I say? I am VERY efficient. all of my work is DONE!>

Us too, and our carrier either puts our packages on the porch and rings the bell, or he'll blow his horn for me to come out and get them (I guess he's in a hurry on those days.) I don't mind either way, he's a nice man... and our mail doesn't smell like an ashtray the way it did when the chain-smoking carrier that worked our route before him delivered it.

BTW, my dad retired from the PO. He was a Post Master and I can't imagine him ever treating one of his customers the way Baldie was treated.

When I asked the post office in my grandmother's town-Medina Tennessee - if we could put up a mailbox beside her driveway instead of across the blacktop road,, The postmaster came out to see if we needed help. She's 87 and though she still very self-sufficient , I really didn't want her crossing the road--her hearing is not good and the mailbox is located right after a deep curve and right before a deep hill.. I just kept worrying that a car was gonna clip her. The post master and the mail carrier there were so nice and helpful even though it's more work for the carrier. I don't know the mail carriers here where I live now, but they do a good job also --just an occasional mix up in ours and our neighbors mail--Which is no problem because we go back and forth between our houses every day to visit. Some people still take pride in their work and don't mind going the extra mile.. Wayne
