Your probley not the only one to have problems with him. Is there anyone in the neighbour, whom you could befriend to get the history of this family?
The wife who's the vet tec. may leagaly may not be aloud to help. i'm thinking about situtaion with goose.
My dog got a stick shoved down his throat, when he was playing fetch... (we don't use sticks anymore)

My neighnour came over with her friend who was a vet tec. The only thing she could leagelly do, was say if it was my dog, I would do this...) Were in Canada here, where the chances of being sued are much lower then US and she stilled worried about it.. (Yes I realize that not a Americans are sue happy, but I think there have been some pretty stupid cases won.. "like oh my cofffee was hot, who would've thought!!

Anyways please keep us posted, I will be watching this thread!

To the OP, I am sorry for what has happened to your chickens. I would be just as mad if my neighbor did something like that to mine. I do hope you make out well with the police and they get some sort of fine out of it.

Just so you know, you most likely will not be able to get a restraining order for what happened. Yes he hurt your birds and your feelings, but a restraining order (or a protection order) is not warranted there. A restraining order is given (at least in my state) only to family members that live in the same house or if someone had a intimate relationship with that person. Probably the most that will happen is he will be told to stay off your property or face further fines for trespassing.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Femme... Put up a page and stay a while....

I am really easy going and not hard to get along with ... BUT Mess with my critters and the Hillbilly comes out - my former neighbor found this out the hard way after his kid shoot bb's at my dog ( my Lilly is a long coated German Shepherd - I found the bb's in her coat) Lilly was in her yard- I told him - my child ( Lilly ) gets shot again and I will shot back ( I do not have a bb gun - I have something a bit bigger ) ... I am a red head also and my temper is horrible -

grwwww , there will be a special place in hell for people that abuse animals

I have a child and recue animals, I take abuse very seriously. I wish it didn't happen, I keeping thinking about what they must have felt like. There's 3 foot wall in front of his house, with 2 feet of snow on top, he stood there and throw them into the street, they went flying about 20 feet, and chickens don't fly.

Poor birds

But yes, chickens CAN fly

These are my first chickens, I have and have had ducks and geese. My chickens are 3 months old. My chickens don't fly, and was under the impression that they leap well, can get into high places, but not fly like regular birds.

For the record, we have tried to be peaceful with these people, there are only 3 houses on my block, mine, his, and the nice people, I know about his history, has always been a trouble maker. It's all a lost cause. I come to the country for a better life for my son, never had problems in the city, and now I'm stuck with this!! Going to the police station soon..................

We have cameras, going to fish them out. As far the wife and my goose, just VERY COLD, and very uncaring. Nasty.

I would call the police too in order to get my animals back from a neighbor.

As for the fence and survey markers I do know in most states it is a felony to remove the metal pins.Reading through NFH forums I would say it sounds like you need to have the surveyor replace all corner pins in quickset concrete.Photo it and call police if they are removed. Hopefully you could get neighbor on cam removing them.Nice neighbors go crazy when a survey does not match their *lines*,but they never seem to want to pay up and do a survey of their own.
