So some of you may know that I'm going through a spot in my life that was invariably set to have changes and challenges and hoops....

I was hard pressed to know where me and my 2 little girls would be living in the future since my childhood home was unfortanately going to have to be sold essentially out from under us...

.....but....the Good Lord provided and here is my new house....

The pool....

Beautiful!

The color and trim of your house is actually the same as mine. But you have a much nicer yard, mine is very "woodsy". Congrats, I'm thrilled for you, it looks just beautiful!

LauraJean...funny you should mention the color...my mom found out the style of the house is called a Bungalow and she went out and bought a book about bungalows and wow did they ever come in some wild colors schemes...and each at about 4 colors minimum to them. It was soo wild. Although I enjoy keeping things in line with history...I came across one bungalow that I adore and when the time comes to repaint...which it will need in the near future upon closer inspection but a roof will probably be needed first...then I want to go along with this bungalow that I saw in the book...it just speaks peace and calm to me when I see it....and it's in a woodsy setting too.

I'm not opposed to the colors it is now but if I have to paint...I may as well pick the colors that I adore.

And Smittenroade....what gender are you because my spare room happens to be hot pink and lime green right now...was a teenage daughters room apparently before I arrived. And I suppose I need to get the window fixed because my dog put her head through it...the caulk was so deteriorated that the window popped out and fell unto a cement plantar and rocks below the window and smashed in a bunch of little bits....sigh....owning a house has it's expenses doesn't it? Repairing things at the moment that I didn't think I needed to repair right off....le sigh...

Yep, it's a bungalow. Very similar to my house actually, but mine is considered more of a cottage than a bungalow because I don't have that porch with the supports, I just have a small deck. I too don't exactly dislike the colors, but I wish it was Barn red trim as opposed to the plum color. My deck is barn red, which I think looks lousy with the plum shade, so if I ever paint my trim (which it needs bad) I will change it to match the deck. That being said, it does look nice once my colorful perennials pop up.

I love it and also want to move in. (I'm a really good cook!) God bless you and praying for much peace, joy, health, love, and blessings for you and yours in your new home! God is awesome!!!
