My new muscovy ducklings!

Pics
Here is their new brooder set up. So much room - for now. I am going to add cardboard once they get a little bigger (and hopefully off the heat lamp).
They got a bath today again. They all seemed to like it. Except for me catching them. So, I am going to sanitize a shallow plastic bottom to an old cage for a different critter we no longer have - place that in there once in awhile and they can swim or not if they choose.

Perfect...:wee

So, the darlings have come out of their shell a little bit. Almost every time I went in to see them they would be huddled in the middle - side eyeing me.
Today I took a friend out there to see them and we stood and chatted for a bit, eventually they came over toward us to the water bowl. :wee
Then, when I went out to refresh their water, they actually came over to me- I was by the water again. :celebrate There is defintely a no touch rule and if one of them thinks you are even thinking about touching them, they run off into a circle and scare the rest of them. :lau
I checked on them one last time when I tucked the chickens in and they were sleeping in their little huddle. One was awake, but I didn't bother going in - just watched for a bit from the door.
Sorry no pics today.
