My peacock lost his eye

He is in a coop with shavings (dirt floor), should i move him to a room with a cement floor? If I do that its not as big of an area but it would be less dirt. Also I am posting the picture i just took. Thanks

Can you take a clearer picture the new ones are of the other side of his head and are blurry. Try to get a nice clear one. I want to send them to someone who can tell me what it is exactly.

The picture in the middle is of the better eye. It only has a small bubble but the top and bottom pictures are of his left eye and its a big green looking bubble. I have noticed now that it has a little blood in the membrane like film bubble. The eye is actually behind the bubble

I know Yoda is looking into this for you but have you investigated vets?
You have done great so far but since his problems are continuing it would really be a good idea to get an expert opinion.
As helpful as everyone is here (thanks Yoda!!!), they don't have the bird in front of them and can't prescribe the proper medication.
And he needs some antibiotics so he doesn't get secondary infections, once you cut there's a chance of infection.
Different antibiotics are effective for different things, so guesswork isn't the best way to go.

I just saw this and I have seen that before. I used a needle to draw out fluid from the swelling below the eye and then injected a small amount of Tylan in that space and a healthy dose of Tylan in the base of the neck. I think you still have the primary and potentially a secondary infection going on. My bird did not have the sinus infection cysts just an obvious sinus infection. It was in a pair of birds I bought at auction that were in horrible shape. I would have bet you that one would not have made it but it pulled through.

that eye needs to be done like the other. Unfortuately you had a doubler. I talk to George at Conner Hills who posted the sinus infection removal on his website and he said:
"I have seen some of this before and I think it still has some infection.. suggest give it some antibiotic and watch it.l. It never seems to stay on any that I have done but if it is in both eyes might be different than if it is in only the eye that had the swelling.... If the lump was not solid and still runny then it might not have come out completely. I have had them come back and then go away.. I am not sure that you can always get completely rid on the problem as there is different opinions on this method , but I have done a number of them over the years and have only seen one bird die and I am not sure it was from the infection. I would suggest that the bird be dusted with sevin powder if that has not been done yet and wormed..... hope this might help.. please let me know"
I thought you were talking about the clear lump that is covering half the eye to already cut. You were on the other side. I thought you got both sides. When doing this one be carefull not to reopen the otherside. Is lump hard or does it feel like liquid? If had you will have to perform the surgery again. Be sure you rinse out the cavity so any small pieces get washed out cause a tiny piece can cause it to return.
