Some people have no clue.
I have two neighbors that are against changing the covenants in our HOA to allow chickens. One is a nurse and she stated that chickens carry diseases so we shouldn't allow chickens, but she wants to get horses.
I usually buy the brown eggs at the store. My DH says they taste better.
I will buy the white eggs if I am going to do alot of baking, just because I'm cheap and the brown eggs cost more.
So one day I buy white and brown eggs on the same day, the same brand also. I need two eggs for the cake, so I'll do a little experiment. I break a white egg and a brown egg into the bowl. No wonder the brown taste better, the whites of the white egg are runny, without any texture or that nice ring of whites that stands up around the yolk. Also, the yolk of the white egg is pale yellow and really spread out and flattened in the bowl. The yolk from the brown egg actually has some color to it and was more rounded and perky(? is that the word I am looking for? It had more of a rounded top.)
For some reason, the brown eggs are alot fresher than the white eggs in the store. They are also harder to find, only two stores have them and one of those is usually sold out.
