An aortic aneurysm is a weakening of the aorta to the point where it extends/balloons out. The aorta is the artery that leads out of the heart, where all the oxygen rich blood is circulated throughout the body.
At 92 years of age, it seems he has lived a long life. Hopefully he is satisfied and happy with his life, which is why he is ok with the end.

Know that when the aorta bursts, there is nothing that can be done. Even in the healthiest and most fit people and immediate medical care, a burst aorta is a usually a fatal injury.
