My Poor Old Dad...

Luna, you seem to have a great attitude. I'm sorry you have to face this. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Hopefully your dad goes in his sleep, or from a belly laugh, sharing memories with his loved ones.

Update: What a trip. I don't like to fly, except for situations like this. I'm still tired. Anyway, my dad was totally surprised to see almost all his kids.

He's actually doing alright for an old guy. Just the remembering part is starting to go. We took him out to dinner to his favorite place to eat and when we came back to my brother's house, he even had a shot of Jack Daniels with all of us! What a guy!

He was a school teacher, built our ranch style house, when the family got bigger, he added onto it to make it colonial style. Scrimped and saved so he could buy his dream sailboat (which he did).

After retirement he and my mom sold the house after we were all grown, and sailed off to see the world. They traveled from the Bahamas to Haiti and Granada, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, you name it they were there.

So they had a good life.

Thank you for all your good wishes, it must have worked, because he was in pretty good shape for now.

I'm glad you got to see him and I glad he's hanging in there for now! Wishing you and your family all the best!

Im so glad that you and your siblings were able to visit with your dad and I hope that you have more opportunities to visit with him before anything happens.
