Thanks, out of the 18 eggs I put in the 'bator a little while ago only 5 hatched 3 english whites,1 tux and 1 brown.I think im gonna name the brown brownie im just hoping its a girl!

I would be careful not to put the new babies near the ones you just brought home. Take care of your babies first, then take care of the others. This is just in case they have some sort of illness. It may take a while for something to show up.

It can take several weeks for some bird diseases to become obvious in a quarantined flock. There is still no guarantee that they don't have something that yours might have.

We'll have to wait for JJ or someone with more quail experience to weigh in here on lengths of time & proper procedures for you.

Ok thanks, dont worry about the babies there upstairs in my room and the adult quail are in the basement.I try handling the adults as little as possible and always wash my hands after.

The same thing happend to one of my hens when I put in some from a different bloodline. They had been at my house since chicks, but when I put them in one of my hens died. She acted like her neck was broke, but it wasn't. I wonder what is doing this.

PRINGLE SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS... ITS A TOUGH BREAK BUT AT LEAST YOU HAD THE MOXY TO END IT QUICK FOR HER... KUDOS TO YOU KID:thumbsup

NOW WAS SHE ARCHING HER HEAD UP OVER HER BACK AT ALL TIMES? --- SIMPLE YES OR NO

Mine would flop like that, and then be normal for a while.
