My Rooster laid an egg?

I was completely convinced this was a rooster... until I saw it with my own 2 eyes lay an egg. I think this bird is confused because it still looks like a rooster to me but I know it has been laying eggs! I even named it prince Harry, I guess it’s princess Harry now. It is a speckled Sussex. I know I sound crazy because it shows lots of signs of a rooster but it has been consistently laying eggs!

Pretty gal! looks like a hen to me though. What made you think it was a Cockerel?

I see pullet. The two longer feathers are curled like a cockerel, but it has rounded hackle feathers and no saddle feathers.

That’s a gorgeous pullet. It has a large red comb which usually turns pink around the time it would start laying. Cockerels pink up months earlier
