I’m really really confused. If roosters don’t lay eggs (I don’t think they do) why do people keep saying they do?

I think alot of things are possible, especially when there are more chances for it to happen(population explosion) the more organisms in a population the more chances for anomaly. I’ve seen salmon artificially hatching, in the wild the anomalies I saw would not have emerged from the gravel, but being artificially incubated they were all exposed(two heads, four eyes, one eye, two fish one head) from 5 thousand eggs per pair. See what I’m getting at, so many possibilities.

I did not mean they should not join. Just that an eggspert would probably have said if a roo can lay at this point.

I’m sure if you told a fish “expert” about how angler fish mate 50 years ago they would say “that’s impossible, no way”

I cannot believe it! My Rooster laid an egg. This morning when I went to the coop, I found a tiny egg, the size of a pigeon's egg in the nest. I googled and found that this is a rare occurrence! Has anyone had a similar experience? Thanks

Hens when they get older can lose something that makes them turn into a rooster. This is very rare.

Roosters don't lay eggs. I have actually owned a hen that turn into a rooster, and the reason I noticed it was because she stopped laying completely.
