my rooster wont breed with the hens and we need chicks what can i do?

That's pretty old. It's more likey the hens age then your roo. I would suggest getting a young hen or pullet if you want fertile eggs.

I'd get a few younger hens, at the very least two. You don't want to bring in just one. ANYWAY, how old is the roo?

7 years is way too old to attempt breeding from if you want healthy chicks, I'd get some younger girls a year old or younger but over 6 months, the roo may also be too old?

i have an extra welsumer roo if you want it. free for the pickup, hes a mid last year hatch. a mink took his girlfriend and he is a little lonely, im sure hed like your girls.
