My RSL Hen is pecking my Silver Laced Wyandotte Roo Raw..

I have recently noticed that my hen has been pecking the saddle feathers out of my Roo and making him bleed. Does anyone know what might cause her to be like this? How can I get them to stop? I thought maybe he had mites but I was wrong once I seen her doing this to him. They have a fairly decent size pen so I don't think not having enough room is the issue.

You might have the start of a cannibalism issue. Make sure you cover all trace of blood or scabbing on the roo or the problem will get worse.

We use blu-kote to cover wounds. Some folks on the forum use other products. If a birds sees blood they will continue to peck.
