My scarecrow receives hate mail

If I were you- I would get the local newspaper down to do an article on it with pictures. They will be all over it for Halloween! Mention that you feel this is no worse than the mooning garden cutouts, and let them print the letter too. Make sure it is a newspaper which prints articles online with a comments section with the articles, and your own neighbors will vindicate you.

Blow the letter up to poster size and have it close to the road. Then set the mooning scarecrow up next to it with one hand scratching his head and the other his pumpkin.

Decorate a new face for the giggling scarecrow.... make a shocked open-mouthed expression and set her up on the other side of the poster-sized letter.

Pose them so they seem to be reading the letter. That way the anonymous letter writer get's to be part of the fun!

I think that is hilarious!! I would not change a thing!! I am laughing as I am typing this because I couldn't imagine thinking that way....LOL.

I was thinking this same thing...the wood cut outs of the little boy piddling and the old wide lady bending over. But I would put it in my back yard too, just because I don't frequent the road side of the property. If I could have thought of something this clever, I'd go for it.

For every one person that was "offended" I bet you made 10 people laugh.. I did.... There are always people that are so tightly wound they can't have fun.. if you are happy.. what else matters?
I LOVED your scare crow!!!!!!!

When reading the hate letter I had a completly different image in my head. The acutal scarecrow is adorable. If you're not already I suspect you'll be an Internet sensation.

Strange that people would be concerned about kids seeing this...

If my little boy was old enough to understand what he was looking at (he is only 5 months old now) , I would go out of my way to point it out to him. If he was a couple of years older, he would think your scarecrow is hilarious.

First off....how creative!!!!

Secondly, I tend to sensor things from my kids too, but COME ON!!! There are kids walking around in school and in malls with their rears hanging out!!! I don't think this will scar anyone for life....people need to learn to bend in the wind, or they are likely to break off in a breeze!!!
