My scarecrow receives hate mail

*sigh*
Please don't go

Ok folks. I spent an hour cleaning up the worst insults and adult commentary. I also had to edit for the sake of continuity of the thread, so some more innocent posts where also edited.

Please do not force me to do this again. Keep it on topic and respectful. Consider this the only warning I will give on this matter.

The ban stick is now hanging on the wall.

You MUST post a pic of that BAN STICK someday! I'll bet it packs quite a wallop!

I like the "honk if you like my yard deco" sign idea

It's fine for someone to ask for a possible self-censorship.... but wrong to attack your family personally like that. It was just low and hurtful and so uncalled for.

So much going on in the world.... if only people would direct their energies to places and things that could actually use them.

Everyone has a right to love it or hate it or not even care about it. Personally I don't see anything vulgar about pumpkin butt ... it lacks all detail that would make a real mooning what it is
tongue.png
I've heard and seen far more vulgarity from people in this world, and much of it didn't even involve body parts.

I love a good humored mooning scarecrow

Too much stressing over nudity these days. And far too little ability to differentiate between what is sexual and what is not. I've seen the "ban stick" get brought out for threads on breast feeding for pete's sake
tongue.png
Nothing sexual about a mooning... 9th grade humor? sure ...... but vulgar... absolutely not! Bad taste? Well, everyone has different tastes in humor

I come from a family where grown people start yelling "Show us your Buckeye!" at family reunions
tongue.png
I don't take the kids to these because I know things get a bit crazy.... but a mooning scarecrow...... it's funny. My kids don't get to emulate tv and friends... they certainly aren't going to emulate a scarecrow... I'm not concerned

Its not showing its bum, those are just pumpkins....

Perhaps it wouldn't be "filthy" if they kept their minds out of the gutter. Sheeesh...personally I think its funny.
One year a bunch of delinquents built an extremely large part of the male anatomy on the lake out of snow balls (no pun...lol) and the school bus' past by, with the everyone of the kids just roaring!
These "things" happen, tongue in cheek, I think its quite inventive with your scare crow! (I bet your taxes went down, calling you the "wrong end of town" ha ha ha)

Keep up the fun and sense of humor, we all have a bum, and it makes us all laugh, and laughter is the cure to many health problems.

I think it comes down to what our mothers use to tell us. If they had nothing nice to say, they should have said nothing. If they were worried about children then they should have nicely conveid,SP, their concern and offered another option. Or they should have done what I do if something offends me, look another way. It was obviously not intended to hurt anyone and the rude neighbor has too much time one their hands, IMO. Don't let them hurt your feelings, their are some people that will find fault in anything you do, no matter what. The important thing is that you know it was ment without malouse on your part.

I love it. That is so funny. I would put on of those in yard and not have a problem with it. The person that wrote it just needs to lighten up.

I think the display is distasteful, but that being said the letter was more inappropriate then the display. If I were to put up something like that I would do it in the backyard where only invited guests would have the pleasure of seeing it.

I did this one year, happened to be the year my parents came up and brought my Grandmother, they are all very religious. My grandmother laughed so hard, she cried!!!!!

This is just a miserable person who obvioucly has nothing better to do with their time than gripe and complain.

Well! I think that it is so inappropriate and vulgar.................That I made it my screen saver!

(hope the OP doesn't mind) My son will be 14 next month and he thinks its hillarious, of coarse! He also knows that if he gets caught mooning anyone he will never again leave his room!

I agree with the poster who said that its great that you decorate for the holidays. Kids remember that stuff. My Mom always decorated as do I . Well this year my DH was doing some whining about it being time to haul out the decor. So I decided I would just skip it, figuring the teenager really wouldn't care either. I was wrong! DH wanted to know when I was going to Halloween up the place! So I waited for the weekend and had my son help. Geez Mom I thought you forgot about Halloween this year! So keep up the good work, your kids will remember the "funny" pumpkin mooning scarecrow and hopefully grow up to put one in their yard.
