My simple laundry sink fodder growing setup.

Other details I may have left out, seeds soak for 12-24 hours,get rinsed, b4 going into the bottom tray. I fill the top with water morning thenagain at night (I forget lots and its fine btw). Seeds are about a half inch deep.

Am wanting to try this and have BOSS here at home.
Here comes the silly question... Can I just soak the
seeds in their shell or do they need to be cracked open?

Nature deposits them as is and u should too

Where do you buy your seeds from? Love your set up by the way. Just started one in my bathtub. My husband is constantly peering in there asking me if I know *** I'm doing. I always tell him, "Of course not. Do I ever?"

Love this! Since my chickens can't free range (because of predators) this would be great. Where do you buy the barley and oats?

I get mine from local feed store. This time of year it can be hard to find but spring is just around the corner

Mine can't either really as foxes and coyotes will come and snatch them but ever since we got guardian dogs the predators stay farther away so I can let the chickens out for a few hours under the watchful eye
