My simple laundry sink fodder growing setup.

as I am typing, I am listening to coyotes howl. They don't always get this close. Our dog was out there just barking away. The girls are tucked away for the night.

As for the fodder experiment, I have started with Black Oil Sun Flower Seeds (BOSS) since I had it in the house. I soaked them over night. Last night I drained them and stuck the bowl in a kitchen cabinet. This morning, I could see the tiniest little white tails sticking out. I almost thought I was imagining. Tonight, when I got home, I took them out and the tails are longer. I rinsed them again and put them back in the cabinet. Looking forward to seeing what tomorrow brings.

. Between this experiment and my new container garden I started over the weekend, it is taking my mind off the anticipation waiting for my first egg to arrive.

I've been wanting to do this all week but haven't had time to go and buy some seeds, but I really must try this and am going to attempt with leftover seeds from the garden last year!! :D

I fed the girls the start of the fodder. They gobbled it up. I saved lots of it and will be planting it tomorrow
to try some greens and see how that goes. I feel more confident now about the approaching HOT summer months as
I find some different things to feed the girls and keep them hydrated as well. Thanks for the info and the
boost of confidence. So simple. Am really surprised at how quickly the seeds sprouted.

I'm wondering the same as equinalot! Does the average agri store sell peas and that sort if stuff?? What would they be called?
