That door certainly looks kicked in... and with bloodstains too, did you ever find out if there was any known police-style history of the house? Did you try any smudge sticks? Salt sprinkling? Clapping in corners? Do you have house animals (cats, dogs)? If so, how do they feel about that room? It's possible that something may have happened that the police don't even know about, that left weird energy, maybe not a death, but maybe someone got hurt, and someone had to kick in the door to help them or something.. even non-death events can leave energy...

I never got a chance to call the police. Ive been dealing with darn KIRBY and now its the A/C

I believe about the same as you with the 'negative' energies staying behind.. but why would that open a door?
The door didnt open last night..

Tonight if I get the chance maybe ill do a little EVP work. Itll be scary, and probly even scarier if I get something back from it but maybe it will help clear my mind

Electronic Voice Phenomenon. Where you use a tape/digital recorder and record an empty room, then play it back, and sometimes it has voices on it, things that your ears cannot hear, but the recorder can... spooky stuff.

When DH and I had our first apartment, we could hear high heels walking upstairs (there was no one living there and the floors had carpet) also you could hear a baby cry or a toddler crying or both at the same time and also the heavy smoke smell when the stove was off and we could also smell lilac perfume and a cigar smoke. one time my son had my friends cat in his arm and was trying to go down the basement steps and he started to fall the kids who were down stairs said that it looked like he floated down the stairs and was just put on the floor, he had no injuries and still had the cat when I asked him what happened he said that a nice lady carried him down the stairs, while we were putting in some cable wires through the false ceiling we found what looked like left over burn marks so I went snooping and found out that a family had died in the house a wife, husband and a toddler and newborn in a fire in the early 40's the house was gutted and remolded but the family still lives there it is sad but they where really nice.

ewwwwwww i'm gona have to try that LOL. we have this area where our entertainment center is. kinda freaks us out cuz our cats and little kids always STARE in the corner. it's worse when the tv is off believe it or not.

Also, when reviewing your recordings, wear headphones. I know it sounds hokey but my house has minor activity and I find that if I review "evidence" after an investigation without headphones it also stirs up activity. And that's from recordings I collect at other peoples' houses! I have no idea what might happen if it was from my own house.

Just a thought.
