My sweet Snickers is really sick.

I'm wondering if the hot spot originated from a spider bite? They can cause inflammation and fever much like you describe. Although if the issue was caused by fleas definitely keep her on a good preventative, and use the steroid shot as sparingly as possible.

I hope she continues to improve!

We put Snickers back outside today. She's healed up really well and is almost 100%. I would like to just bathe her every week and a half or so but she gets so freaked out. After the last bath I gave her she barfed. Man I love her but she is one high maintenance pooch.
