Wowzers! Please stay safe!! Just think there are parts of this country that are in a drought and would do anything for rain! People who don't need it always get it! We got two days of it but it wasn't too bad, thankfully.
well here's another update for yall, I'll try to get pics in a min. The water is now up to and on the deck at the bottom of the stairs and rising, it rained some more. Ok scratch the rising part... we saw a possum and chased/fired at it came back and the water on the deck is no longer 'spashable' lol But here are the pics I just took before we saw the evil critter lol
I took more pics than this of the rest of the yard, but it's dark and shows up pretty much black when I load them on the comp. and I haven't finished downloading a photo program to lighten them yet. I'm going to try to clean them up. Oh and the pics of the level measurements of the water are from right at the base of the stairs under the house and probably the most shallow part of the flooding aside from the deck. Edited to add better pics.
Yikes, thats worse than my yard! We got an inch of rain yesterday, another 1 1/2 inches overnight, 2 inches more today, then another half inch in the past 4 hours. ( hubby got a new rain gauge LOL). The whole yard is under a little bit of water, but the bantam pen is the worst. One silkie ventured out in it today. She HAD to have swam- because it's at least 5 inches deep in their run. With the wind- I considered making them little sailboats, or surfboards.
I do hope your hubby stays safe- that is some pretty serious flooding!!
lol we don't need a pool we've got a beach...well NORMALLY we have a beach..
I just woke up and we're still flooded and the water level went back up and it's starting to rain again. The radar is showing MORE rain heading right for my house
I hope this goes away soon.. I don't know how many more inches we can take before I have to cut the power to the water pump and pump house.. I already had to wade to the drain for my kitchen sink and washing machine and cut it so it's not under water and the stand that our ac unit is on is starting to lean/sink a little bit
