Thanks Beefy for chiming in again. It's been a year and a half since this thread was started and my how things have changed. Whole new cast of characters now including that new grandbaby.
By the way, we still have visitors, mostly locals, who have their own ghost stories to tell about this place.
The refrigerator repair guy was here recently and told of how when he had been here 4 years earlier, when no one lived here but he was asked to come and work on the Sub Zero, and he brought his young son with him. They left the back door propped open. While working in the kitchen they heard the piano playing in the front parlor. When they went to check on the piano, they saw curtains moving when there was no breeze or open window. Then they heard the back door slam - again no breeze or reason for it to close on its own. Then they heard COWS (Beefy I know you'll appreciate this part of the story). They heard cows mooing right in the back yard - of course, no cows. He said when his wife got the service call she said "I think that's the haunted house". He said his son said "No way I'm going back".
Now I did hear the piano playing all by itself late the other night (it's an 1840 grand piano that came with the house). But....it was my cat walking on the keys. Kind of spooky to hear late at night when you're all alone.
