This qualifies for this thread also.

Upper and lower picture the same egg. It is a dull colored almost olive green. Guess I'll say dark green. The bottom picture looked good when I looked through the camera but after I snapped it looks like a light brown color. But it is green.

Not a small egg either, it weighed 2 oz.

Now if the young man will get busy and learn how to do his job. I've caught him trying but the least resistance from the pullet he gives up. Giving him a little time yet because I'm not ready to set any eggs from these pullets yet anyway.

She hasn't been on since Aug, hope she's okay.

Have you tried the Ga thread to find DDD ? Sharkman way back I did post a picture of my FM rooster. He is rather slow growing or it does seem to me. Because I have six broodies, I sold all of my incubators and now I have to wait and wait and wait until the girls decide to become moms all at once. dumb me I even got rid of my egg turners ! So the process is rather slow. My base is blue and silver, Bearded Polish and Silkie and of course NN. Working to rid my flock of five toes and straight comb and/or wattles. The process is slow in my flock but then I'm too busy and have many projects to complete.

I wanted to add that most of my flock is very mellow. It has taken a long time to rid the flock of pickers and other nasty hens. Because they all are together I need all of them to leave the Silkies and other crested birdies alone. There is one little FM hen who is molested a bit as evidenced by little spots of less feathers on her head. Poor girl, I guess that I need to sacrifice her to the freezer and see if the next victim can fend for herself.

I'm the proud new mom of sextuplets! I'm guessing their birthday was around St. Patrick's day so they will have Irish names but until I know them a little more and can tell the same colored ones apart better I'm not going to name them. Only one has a completely naked neck, I picked the least feathered necked ones I could find. The lady at the feed store thought I was a bit crazy for looking so closely at every one they had but she also said she wished more people were as excited about them as I was. I have no idea what colors they'll be other than the black ones of course but I don't care, I'm just so happy and also nervous since they are so tiny and fragile!
