Naked Neck/Turken Thread

I do that too. Just this morning I posted it on the Easter Hatch A Long Thread about an Iowa Blue hen @Hurley posted. Very pretty hen.

I'm over there as well - I replied!!!

I like the wyandotte cross and a new avatar guys!

Oh and I don't THINK every chicken would look better with naked neck, they definitely DO look better with naked neck.

A Google search will give you even more results. Good luck!

Okay...I've got a question for my fellow NN lovers. One of my 17-week old pullets has a consistently pale comb. She's always been that way, and I've never seen it turn even a dark shade of pink let alone red. She seems otherwise healthy (and always has), but she small compared to the other girls. Is this something I should worry about?

what colour is she?

I have a whitish hen with a pale comb. looks she is just too blond, lol. btw, 17 wk old is not fully grown, she might need more time. I have some pullets which took more time to mature.

I have one hen that is more than year and a half old and haven't seen her comb go even pink. It' very, very small and pale. She is also laying and I wpuldn't even say that she is lart of a flock. She never pick anybody and anybody isn't picking her.

If yours is still a chick and the smallest in the bunch, maybe you should be concerned but I don't want to be the last judge
