LOL...it sounds like Mort is the smart one! I will have to post a pic of my newest little NN addition when I can get a pic if the heat ever goes away!!!! I am out just enough to change the chickens water and hose everything down a couple of times a day. This heat and humidity is horrible!!!

Well, I wanted to get a group picture to post but it is just too hot out there....

Here are three of mine

Okay, I just have to show you this. This is my bantam Turken rooster named Frank. I picked him up (and 6 others) from my local feedstore. The employee told me that they were a cancelled special order from Dunlap Hatchery. What kind of science experiment gone wrong is this?

I love him!

Here's my next two. They are standard Turken roosters that are huge! A while back, I posted and asked which to keep. Of course, I kept both.

I would like to know what they are crossed with!

Wonderful pictures, y'all.

Frank has a tight rose comb, my guess would be possibly mixed with bantam Wyandotte.

I'm so in love with Willy's colors! That's an amazing color combination not really seen very often. Lots of red/brown combined with white. I'd like to know the genetics of that one-not confident, wondering if that's somehow basically the RIR color but on silver instead of gold.... Glad you kept him.. he would have been a life long keeper here.

Ginormica seems similar to salmon faverolle- silver based wheaten with some extra genes, IIRC... another reason I'm wondering Willy is basically a silver based RIR color...... Not a common color either, but do like the more extensive red for a more calico-like look.

Where did the larges come from?

Kev, thanks for your comments. They are both really unusual and your explanation really helped me see their possible breeding. They came from Dunlap Hatchery as well.
