I crossed her to a black-skin Naked Neck x Silkie cross, then crossed black-skin frizzled children to Ameraucana, and their children to Jersey Giant (and back and to).
The way the pens are set up now, I have frizzle NN hens with smooth NN roos and smooth NN hens with frizzle NN roos.
They give me about 50% frizzle chicks and 50% smooth chicks.

What a great looking couple! I love the mossy stone wall, too - thank you for sharing.

Flower and KKH

the Hatch was a fail, well I got 6 chicks born but for some strange reason they were born today instead of on Monday,

needless to say I can't send them cause they might die by the time they get there.

so sorry girls. maybe next time.

now I'm stuck with them

I'll take a pic later so that at least you can see them, KKH I guess I am torturing you

I guess I will have to be happy with my lot for now!! You'll really be torturing me if those 6 chicks grow up to be stunning hens!!! If that's the case, send me a pic of your
most miserable looking rooster.

Wonderful picture Lisa ! I love the way there is a swirl of feathers right smack dab in the center. Very pretty hen and my favorite chickens color. ha ha . Since I never had to suffer through the experience of fighting cocks most other colors are ok also. Well all of this material is being copied and pasted into my reference page on THE GENETICS OF

I'm sure I read SOMETHING about showing in this thread at some point.... but for the life of me, I can't find or recall it.

What are the standards for showing NNs? I'm wondering if it will be at all possible with my girls...

Oh girlie you have tons of time to read this entire thread while your babies grow up. First SOP........ bird has to grow up ! ta dah
