Naked Neck/Turken Thread

Hes doing fine now it only last for a day and a half...I think he ate too much wet food and it clogged his throat

Sometimes chickens try to eat wasp, bees, hornets, etc. and they sting the inside of the mouth/throat????

Do you see any kind of bite mark or anything like that on the swollen side?

My top choices are insect/snake bite, or serious sinus type infection (everytime I've seen a chicken w/ sinus type issues it seems to affect only one side at a time), or not sure about chicken anatomy but in a human could be some sort of lymph infection/inflamation. I'm not much of a chicken doctor though.

I don't know what it was but as quick as it came it went away. My mother and I checked all over his neck for a bite but there wasn't any sign of one. It only lasted for a day and a half

So, my new 2 week out chicks got to go outside to play for the first time today. They were a little timid at first, but loved it. They will get to play now when the weather is nice and sunny.

Hi PEEPS! This is NETTA, my recently aquired banty sized barred NN hen [I could NOT resist her adorable face!] and am looking for info on these guys...She is 8ish months old. Very sweet and friendly from the get go. I would like to show her IF she won't get DQ'ed because she is a joke as far as Standard of Perfection is concverned...She is beautiful in my eyes tho..LOL

Black,buff,white and red are the recognized colors

But go ahead and show her she's pretty I've shown my splash pullet she did not win but still felt good to put her out there.

He was given to me but fights with my other rooster (he has only one eye but in good health was like this when I got him)
