Not fight per se, but all the chicks I've raised have their moments, some more frequent than others, of "I'm more important than you, here's a big conk on the noggin to help you remember it" regardless of gender. :p

well yesterday when they were outside for the day there were two fighting each other and one of them now has a woond on its neck. just trying to make sure that i dont have all roos

. do the baby roo chicks have bigger tail feathers than pullet tail feathers. there are around three or four who seem to have larger tails than the others. the ones who don't have fluffier tails have smaller tighter looking tails and one just has almost no tail because its so small.

It's been my experience that the females grow out their tail feathers faster than the males. Their tail feathers will be bigger faster. The chicks I have had that seem to have no tails usually always end up males! My male chicks always seem heavier and feel "harder" in body than my females. I can almost tell the males from the females just by picking them up and feeling the hardness of their underbodies. Females just have a more squishy feel to their bodies.

And yes, they are always trying to establish that pecking order by bucking up to each other. Males and females, chickens and chicks.

how many NN's can you fit in a 6x6x6 coop. they would be free ranging during the day with access to the coop during the day and only locked up at night. so i was just wondering if you could fit at least 10? also does it matter how much space that they have if they are going to be in there to roost at night?
