What happened? Is it infected? How long ago did this happen? Anything vital injured (trachea, crop, esophagus).
I use Coconut oil for wounds and find it is awesome. I haven't tried Honey. What happened? Is it infected? How long ago did this happen? Anything vital injured (trachea, crop, esophagus).
Depending on the answers it needs to be cleaned well, after cleaning I would use a honey (if you have access to raw) or sugar iodine paste and coat the wounds then cover w/ bandaging keep her away from the other chicken in a secure area so she can heal and has access to good food and water.

One of many articles talking about this method, google it if you like, I've seen it work on my own chickens.
If you keep this wound clean, it should heal with very little scarring. My naked neck was scalped when she was about 8 weeks old by the older girls and by keeping it clean and putting medicine on it, it has healed and you can barely tell that it ever happened. Good Luck.PLEASE HELP US!!! I read hear almost every day but do not post much. But I know a lot of you read this thread. Is there something I can do for this Pullet?
