Those are really nice birds. I didnt know you have whites. My chicks are really friendly now. The lighter colored chicks are splash right? All 3 of them are cockrels and 2 others but im keeping all the roosters. Im also getting them a new coop instead of using the one above cause they are getting big. But i am very pleased with them.
Double NN..in that both parents are NN or are you working towards scaleless, as well? Pardon my noobness.Yes they are splash, and all your chicks came from my double nn gene pen.
Oh that's it..I must have some DDD eggs!
Wonder how much DH will kill me when he hears I want yet more NNs..lol.If it is sunburn a lotion sun screen would be better then vasoline since that will encourage more burning. My NN's get whiteish sloughing skin from time to time I've never thought anything about it, they don't act like it hurts, there is no rash or injury or inflammation it lasts for a few days and is gone. I wouldn't confine her more I watch my chickens a lot and they seek out shade all the time in summer, their sun exposure consists of the couple of second it takes them to run to the next shade patch. lolShould I not let her out of the enclosed run? Its full shaded, but she's the first and always the last to come back up to the shade, she loves to go out and lay in the ivy's. I swear when she starts laying eggs, they will be in there. Is there anything better then vasoline to put on it. I feel awful about it.
