Naked Neck/Turken Thread

It has been a very long day, had to be gone most of it, had a lot of shrink wrapping in my hatch, lost 14 outright (most but not all to shrink wrapping) another 8 are in incubator icu, not sure how many if any will survive, they are very weak from long shrink wrap hatch. 8 are hatched and fluffed and in the brooder. So my final total will be between 8 and 16

Here is my first FM full NN chick, this thing is bald and black. I hope it a pullet and gets no color in it feathering I am pretty happy with this chick so far.

A few pics of some of the dried and fluffed new chicks. These are not great pics I was very tired and didn't have anyone to help corral the chicks while I took the pic. Better ones will be coming later (tomorrow)

I have 5 NN's that are about 6 months old. No ones crowing and I think one is laying. They are mixed with others and everyone lays in the same areas. 2 of the NN's are mixed with a bantam, I was told but not what breed. One is fully feathered, I just liked the coloring so I wasnt worried about it, one way or the other with "her". The other mix is a grey and red, I'm a bit confused as to what it is. Araucana have no tails but arent a bantam and the other has a tail. Also, biggest NN from the same clutch 4-6 inches taller than the rest, when everyone is "at attention". I dont know yet if it's a he or a she. Their father was a grand champion, HUGH bird. Red is big but doesnt crow and has a small comb no waddles to speak of but it a lot bigger than the rest. Red's not the boss either. The silkies run Red around, so do the other roosters. No ones mating with Red either. So any ideas

The new chicks are adorable!!
I hate that! Wonder what happened in your incubator? I hope the rest make it (fingers crossed for you).

Any ideas what happened? This is why I'm so scared to try incubating, there seem to be so many factors that can cause hatches to take a turn.
