Naked Neck/Turken Thread

I actually do know punnet squares - learned them back in high school - and I should have done one instead of trusting the online calculator I found, lol. So now that the chick is completely fluffed up, it actually has a couple teeny tiny patches of black fluff on it in places, almost like what a paint silkie chick looks like. I had another due for New Years, but the little thing is already pipped, so I expect it will be out tomorrow. These guys seem to hatch early - the first one that hatched was due the 29th.

So far from what I can see of the pipped one in my incubator, it will be much darker than this one. I am curious how this one will come out, what with the tiny spots of black in the fluff.

It's funny that you say that because I had just the oppposite findings on my hatch and had actually asked on here if it was the norm that they took longer and had a higher mortality rate in shell. I had 16 eggs go into lockdown on last hatch. (All 16 barnyard mixes from my sister's eggs.) I knew she had at least one turken so I knew that there was a possibility. My hatch started pipping away at day 19, though none put in an appearance till day 20. After the first 10 being hatched as "normals" (I use that term loosely..lol) I wasn't even figuring on NNs. Then the last three, which I believe all were hatched day 21 were little NNs! Three eggs did not hatch and upon eggtopsy two more were found to be NNs. The one that was not had internally pipped but was shrink wrapped. One of the NNs I believe met it's demise because of egg quality. The egg was the biggest set, and had a good amount of fluid in it, so I believe that it did not let enough moisture out and the little dude drowned. He also had a lot of moving room in the egg. When you candled and moved the egg, the chick actually slid around. The other NN I have no idea what happened. He was nicely formed, in a good position, even the yolk was already absorbed. He was rocking on day 19/20. :-( (All three were day 20/21 deaths I believe.)
 
Just hatched another cross! Not a naked neck, but hatched with black fluff, black skin, and a muff! Gonna be a cute little devil I bet. A little bit of the fluff around the face is chestnut color too. Now let's see if I can get some of those with naked neck.

I've got some Turken x EE chicks (can't remember what color they said the turken hen is but they said the roo was a white EE) I got a couple weeks ago from a friend who picked them up from her friend

3 are pure white but 1 is white with brown "chipmunk" markings down the back. 2 or 3 have green legs but 1 has pure yellow legs but no bare patch on its face. I'd love to hear you guys' thoughts on them. I'll post photos tonight!
