Naked Neck/Turken Thread

I'm really curious how the plumage of the colored NN chick will turn out! :hu

Does anyone have any NN's from ideal poultry hatchery?

They look good from what I can tell from the pics.

Do they have pea combs?

Hard to tell for sure the coloring in the chipmunk colored one could be many combinations of colors. Some color could appear later on in the whites also.

Take more pictures if them. Post them on The Green Egger Naked Neck Thread. I started that for the NN/EE crosses that I am doing. Just got them started late that year.

No e from Ideal, not a fan of Ideal Poultry. Have lost (as in died) from Ideal I have ever ordered from them. I use Cackle and thinking about maybe Murray McMurray.

Yes, they all have pea combs! I will continue to take photos & share them! I'd love if the all-white ones develop some color because, in my opinion, all-white is boring! Plus the Florida sun bleaches it, which turns the white feathers a nasty yellowish color.

They are adorable. I always thought that all white was boring, but I have one chick from my last hatch that is white (all mixed breeds) and love the way she looks because when she stretches out her wings they look like angel wings. My turken in my avatar pick was white at first but developed the coloring very quickly. (Which I love.) I do want to get a pure white NN though. I want to breed my avatar roo with my white girl and see what happens, and since I am clueless with genetics breeding will be a complete hit and miss with me...lol I wouldn't want a flock of white chickens, that's no fun, but I don't mind a couple here and there to offset my wonderful variety.

That's a great way of looking at it!

I've had them in the past. Every one they're ever sent me has been red, or colored like a black sex link. I only order pullets of course, so I'm wondering if they sex link their NNs to make their lives easier. Either that, or I kept getting unlucky and getting only two colors, lol.

I may try my luck on one pullet. So I can become a true member of the NN club.
