I'm not sure where this quote is from, so what I was talking about, but if I was talking about my NN, they are all mixed.

Well BooHoo. I was wrong about my crested Lurken pullet laying her first green egg. It was not her laying at all, but rather an older EE pullet that had been broody and just went back to laying.

Then this afternoon I got a tiny mystery eggs from someone...but it was brown! Now I'll have to keep a closer eye on the coop to see who is laying.

as long as there are eggs it is ok. every single yolk in the world is yellow anyway!

It's kinda' hard to see them but I'll be looking forward to seeing them as they grow out. I honestly don't know if he's been here yet (I directed him) but he is planning to cross NNs with White Jersey Giants. (I think he said white......)

Should be a very handsome and hefty batch of birds!!!

I agree with Hellbender. It'll be interesting to watch them grow out. What an interesting combination! I wonder if the small size of the Silkie and the larger size of the Jersey Giant will cancel each other out and result in a "normal" sized large breed bird, or if you'll get a mix of big and small.

Can I ask about the breeding on these... turken crosses?
I want Sliver Laced/Polish/Turken... Maybe feather footed too.
I know I'm nuts, but I imagine such a fun project would give me lots of eggs and plenty of culls to capon for decent eating.
