Thanks! Well, yes, we have raccoons, skunks, possums, etc. I recently had my property fenced (8 ft fence) which should hopefully keep out coyotes and packs of dogs (though I suppose they can dig under), but raccoons have been around at night sometimes and I've seen the cats (not mine, but they think they own the place) scale the fence as well. Easier to go with the hard core option. Fortunately, I had some extra hardware cloth around (like, a lot) from an earlier aborted attempt at a PVC tractor (that turned out really badly and got dismantled). The whole she-bang will be encircled with electric fencing (soon - I need to set it up soon!). Next week I start the growout tractor...
They're ALL getting big, but yes, Tank is, well, a TANK. I think they'll be able to make it to next week's weighing (Weds.) before I switch out their leg bands (not snug yet). It's cute to see the little boys facing off in short "pecking order" type skirmishes. It's sort of like Lord of the Flies in there... That reminds me, next task is to figure out future back up rooster housing.
If you are referring to the photo, I think you might mean me? (@BantamFan4Life
was quoting me.) These are the chicks I got from Ideal. (All the New Hampshires ran and hid from me - cowards! The Naked Necks are so curious and friendly, they are easy to catch with the camera...
I know they're only 2.5 weeks so far, but I am SO pleased with these chicks...

I probably misread. Sorry. Been feeling under the weather today. I haven't been out except to take care of the chickens. I didn't even go to church this morning.
So anyway: @Fire Ant Farm. Those are nice looking NN. That is one breed that I never ordered from Ideal.
I know I've posted these before, but this is the guy I've been talking about. Love my Heisenberg! His comb and wattles are even bigger than in these photos as these were taken a few months ago.
However, I hope to order some more from Turnland Poultry. Do you think it would be better to get the White or Red Turkens? I haven't decided yet
